We live in a world where laughter is sometimes only available at a premium. We also live in a world where artificial intelligence is coming-of-age but the two of them came together perfectly on a Saturday Night Live episode.
The host of the show, Ryan Gosling, worked alone with one of the cast members, Mickey Day to put on a Beavis and Butthead look-alike skit that had everybody laughing. The skit had them sitting in the audience and ruining a serious interview about artificial intelligence.
This isn’t a skit that simply was here today and gone tomorrow. It was a serious discussion but it turned into something a lot more when people started losing it over the appearance of Beavis and Butthead in the audience. It was a brilliant performance and one that makes us laugh for many different reasons.
Kenan Thompson does a brilliant job of playing the industry expert speaking about AI. Heidi Gardner played the talk show host, and the two of them are just trying to have a conversation. Unfortunately, it keeps going off the rails because of who showed up in the fake audience.
When you see the video for yourself, you will have a difficult time believing how much these two looks like Beavis and Butthead. Things get even funnier when they end up sitting next to each other and laughing just like the cartoon characters.
