You would be hard-pressed to find somebody who didn’t remember the famous Oscars slap when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock after he made a joke about Jayda Pinkett Smith’s lack of hair.
It seems as if Ricky Gervais may not have gotten the memo, because he took an incredible shot at both Jaden Smith and his mother. Many people are wondering if, after the joke about Jayda Pinkett Smith he might get slapped as well.
Taking a look at the red carpet for the 2025 Grammy Awards was amazing. There were many bold statements, but there were two particular looks that got a lot of attention. One of those was an almost nude dress worn by Bianca Censori. The other was Jaden Smith’s house hat.
When 26-year-old Jaden Smith walked out on the red carpet, he was wearing a black Louis Vuitton suit. It was a $4700 hat shaped like a castle on top of his head, however, that really got the attention.
The headpiece was supposedly inspired by Transylvanian history and the Bathory family vampire legends. It was designed by Abodi Transylvania.
Some people, such as the designers called it a symbol of eternity, resilience, and sensuality. People on social media, however, had a different opinion.
This included one user on X who posted a picture with the caption: “And they say famous people are just attention seekers…”
That post got a lot of reactions, but it was comedian Ricky Gervais’s jab at Jayna Pinkett Smith that got the most attention. The 63-year-old comedian said: “Maybe he’s bald like his mum.”

Almost immediately, the joke started a debate. It was a reference to the 2022 Oscars when Will Smith walked up to the stage and slapped Chris Rock in the face after he made a joke about his wife’s shaved head.
Three years later, Jaden Smith was there with his father as Will made his first appearance at an award show since the infamous Oscars slap.
The comments were full of a lot of different opinions, but one said: “You’re going to get a slap from big Will.”
Gervais didn’t hesitate, he responded: “Can’t wait.”
Others had a more comical opinion on the subject, including one who said: “Jaden Smith is a 26-year-old man, this is what he wore to the Grammys tonight. Stop calling it art, stupidity must be mocked.”
Others are trying to decide if his outfit or Bianca Censori’s lack of outfit was more ridiculous.
In case it got past your radar, the 29-year-old wore the most shocking dress, as it was completely see-through. This caused many on social media to criticize her, including some who said that she should be arrested for public indecency.
