Reporter Loses It When Elephant Won’t Leave Him Alone

Animals are amazing and I think that most people would agree with that fact. This is especially true of certain wild animals, including elephants.

Despite the fact that these gentle giants have been around for millions of years, they still are facing a difficult road during our time. The beautiful creatures have disappeared largely from the wild, with only about 10% of African elephants still surviving.

Partially, this is due to the ivory trade which has caused the death of many of the elephants. They have also faced the loss of their habitat because of environmental issues.

At this time, only 415,000 wild elephants still remain. That is what is so important that awareness is raised about the need to protect their environment and to protect them from humans.

One reporter who was talking about this difficulty in Kenya was Alvin Kaunda. He shared a portion of his report online, and millions of people have swarmed to see it.

Kaunda was giving a news report about how human activity has impacted the planet and African elephants. He was at a sanctuary in Kenya to give the report.

It’s absolutely beautiful to watch these giant creatures. They seem so gentle as they are coming in behind him, almost like children who are trying to get on television.

There was one particular elephant, however, who couldn’t seem to leave the reporter alone. After peeking over the other elephants to get a closer look, it reached its trunk over to poke him on the shoulder and then in the ear.

It was easy to see that this baby elephant was enamored by the reporter. At one point, the elephant even put its trunk on the reporter’s head and the man couldn’t help but smile.

An elephant’s trunk is a marvel of creation that is made in such a way that it can do many different chores. Perhaps you’ve seen elephants painting pictures or watched them pick up a peanut.

This baby elephant, however, had another plan. Suddenly, it reached his trunk to tickle the reporter and Kaunda couldn’t help but giggle.

Although he tried to continue to deliver the message to the camera, it was obviously difficult for him to remain focused. Eventually, the reporter gave up and started laughing.
