Prince Stepped Forward During George Harrison Tribute With A String Melting Guitar Solo

It’s always good to be known for something you are good at doing. Perhaps you are a good father or maybe you excel at woodworking or some other craft.

If you were the rock star, Prince, then you would be known for your ability with the guitar and music ran through your veins. There was one particular solo, however, that really took things to the next level when it came to showing off his abilities with the guitar in his hand.

It occurred at George Harrison’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame induction, when Prince was on stage with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Steve Winwood. It was an absolutely phenomenal performance of the George Harrison song, ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’.

The song was going along beautifully, but around the three-minute mark, Prince walked out into the front of the stage and began playing a solo on his guitar. I wouldn’t want to say that it started out slow, but compared to the absolute shredding that he did as he just continued to rock his guitar, it was absolutely phenomenal.

The audience undoubtedly fell in love with the guitar solo as soon as it started to happen. If you look at the expressions on the faces of the stars that were on the stage with Prince that day, you can see that they appreciated it as well.

Fortunately, you have the opportunity to see it for yourself as it is available here in this video.
