Prince George’s Life Is About To Change Drastically

Prince George recently celebrated his 11th birthday. It was a special day for him and the family but it is probably also going to be the last year that he has somewhat of a normal childhood.

When Prince George turns 12 years old, he is going to have to go through a rather unusual change. It is something that is a tradition in the royal family, and it was put there for a good reason.

The Prince was born on July 22, 2013. He is the oldest child of Prince William and Princess Kate. He is also commonly referred to as Prince George of Wales.

Prince George is second in line to the throne after his father, the Prince of Wales. When he turns 12 years old, he will be protected, as well as the royal line in the way that they travel.

The monarchy has a protocol in place that does not allow the second person in line to the throne to travel with other members of the royal family once they turn 12. In other words, he is going to have to fly separately.

This measure was put in place to safeguard the lineage because if all of the family was on a single flight, something could go wrong and it would end the line of the royal family.

This is also something that Prince William had to go through when he turned 12 years old in 1994. Up until the time he was 12 years old, he would fly with the rest of the family but after that, they would use a separate aircraft to fly him, unless her Majesty gave him permission to travel with the family.

More than likely, he will have to travel separately from the rest of the family as of July 22, 2025. Although the family has not disclosed whether they will be following the rule as of yet, there is a possibility that it will take place.
