Police Officer Is Reminded Of Why She Does What She Does When A Young Girl Runs Up To Her With A Hug

We hear a lot about police officers these days and unfortunately, the majority of it is not good. We all realize that there are plenty of good cops out there who do their best to ensure that people in the community are well taken care of. We also aren’t blind to the fact that there are some bad cops out there as well and they are the ones that typically make the news. We need to keep something positive in mind, however, so that we realize that there are still plenty of good police officers out there who are willing to protect and serve. This would’ve been an impressive activity in any of our days but it wasn’t just some random stranger that came up and gave the police officer a little love. Rego went on Facebook to talk about the circumstances when they first met and it was quite difficult. She talked about the day that she got the hug as being the best day of her year but three years ago, it was a different day, altogether.

Rego said that she was reminded of why she does what she does as a police officer. The little girl came running over to her and gave her a hug and it’s a miracle that it happened in the first place. After all, just three years before, Cpl. Rego had to give her daughter CPR. She was almost 2 years old at the time and now she is five and on her way to Disney.

When you see the pictures of the little girl in the police officer’s arms, you realize that it is a very special moment. Since being posted on Facebook, the story has been shared thousands of times and for all the right reasons. You can see the report for yourself below:
