One group of individuals who has benefited from a more enlightened approach in this way are those who are plus-sized. In fact, we have plus-sized models that have thousands of followers or more, and they continue to offer us information.
One of those plus-size models is Gracie Bon. She is very popular, as her large size has gathered a following of well over 9 million on Instagram and hundreds of thousands on TikTok.
The 27-year-old has been talking recently about the struggle she has due to her curves. This includes having difficulties on the plane, especially when it comes to using the facilities.
More recently, she highlighted another challenge that she faced when she shared a video clip of herself at a theme park. At many theme parks, there are test seats before you get on a roller coaster to make sure you fit.
When she sat in one of the ‘small’ seats, she couldn’t get the safety bar to latch. She then shared the video, captioning it: “Please just make the seats bigger.”

She also included a voiceover, which said: “When you want to get on the roller coaster. I tried to do the seat test, only size XL girls will understand. The seat belt didn’t close, these things happen to me because I have big legs.”
It didn’t take long before people started commenting on her video. Some were supportive but others said that she is just trying to make everything the problem and that the ‘world doesn’t revolve around you.’
This isn’t the first time that she has said something controversial and it will likely not be the last time. She has gained a significant following due to controversy, so she is likely to continue to do what works.
