One of the subjects that has fascinated people for as long as anyone can remember is the subject of time travel. Although we’ve never been able to definitively prove that it exists, there have been glimpses, at times, into what people feel is evidence that it is true.
Of course, we live our lives with science fiction in the background and that has been the case for many years. In this world of increasing technology, however, science fiction becomes science fact and that is why some people look at this picture from the 1940s with scrutiny.
This old photo is from 1941 and it shows a line of well-dressed children standing outside of a cinema in Chicago. At first, it just looks like an interesting photo from years ago but if you look closely, the child in the front of the line looks out of place.
Although the child is dressed like all of the other children, it looks as if he is holding something that is familiar to us in the next century. It appears as if he is holding an iPad, which was invented 69 years later after this photo was taken.
There is a slightly different finish to the device that he is holding but if it is a tablet, and looks like it would be well out of place.
Quantum computing has given rise to the possibility that there are multiple universes and science just continues to amaze us with the abilities that it puts out in our future.
Can we really say with certainty that there is not going to be a time when people will travel back in time to the past to see what life was like in those days? They may interact or perhaps may already have interacted with us as a result.
Despite the fact that the children in this old photo were living in a time when World War II was raging, it seems as if there is one kid who is actually not only out of place, he is out of time.
When the photo was posted on Reddit, many people agreed that it could have been somebody who was visiting the past. Others, however, feel that it was just an interesting picture and more than likely, the little boy was holding a book.
