The Internet has given rise to many singers who have incredible talent. Sometimes, those singers even get together to form bands that display a level of ability that is far beyond what we ever could’ve expected.
A 5 piece acapella group, Pentatonix, shows that talent, and every time they perform a song, it is an instant hit. They rose to fame after winning the third season of ‘The Sing off’ and they just continue to amaze us with their music.
The song that they sing in the video below is one that many of us have considered to be beautiful in its own right. It was first performed by Simon and Garfunkel, but it has since been covered by many bands and solo artists in different ways.
When Pentatonix was at the Hollywood Bowl in 2022, they put on this live performance of The Sound of Silence. The audience that day was absolutely blown away by the music that they heard.
The founding members of Pentatonix went to high school together in Arlington, Texas. They then were in a radio competition so they could meet members of Glee. They didn’t win, but they did get a lot of attention and it wasn’t long before the band was formed.
