We all have to make decisions in life but at times, we hear about people making a decision that was wrong from the start. That is how many people feel about the parents who did something shocking, but they didn’t get away with it.
When it comes to being sick, we all experience it from time to time. It is our hope, however, that we never have any serious problems and that is doubly true of our children.
One couple in Australia didn’t figure this out in time, because they pretended that their six-year-old son had been diagnosed with cancer. They said that he was going to be going through treatments and they wanted to collect donations for them.
The mother and father, who are both 44 are now in some hot water legally. They haven’t been named as of yet, but authorities said that they shaved their son’s head and eyebrows to raise money for his cancer treatments, which didn’t exist.
At this point, they are being charged with one count of committing an act likely to cause harm. The father has been denied bail.
This is quite disturbing đ Parents of a 6 year old Australian boy are alleged to have shaved his hair and started fake cancer fund raisers. The Adelside parents (both 44) raised around $60,000. The mother, who worked at a hsirdressers, asked a colleague to help her shave her⌠pic.twitter.com/L4egMJ8OaU

This is serious business because the parents could be spending seven years behind bars if they get the maximum sentence. They did have some success with the scam and had raised about $38,200. They used the school system and some online platforms to raise the money.
They needed to be convincing when speaking about their sick child so they shaved his head and put him in a wheelchair with bandages to look like he had been getting radiation therapy. The deception spread quickly.
According to South Australia police’s Acting Assistant Commissioner, John DeCandia, “The couple caused psychological harm to their child by falsely purporting a cancer diagnosis. We believe this farce illness is causing serious and significant psychological harm to the child and their sibling.”
The two children, who are between six and 12 years of age are receiving risk assessments to ensure that they are safe. The police commissioner said that the boy will require ongoing support because ‘initially thinking youâve got cancer, and youâre not well, would be quite devastating.’
The mother is currently on house arrest and the husband is in jail. Magistrate Alison Adair feels that the father was more involved in the scheme than the mother. The court cases should be started by January 6. At this time, the children are living with a relative.
