There are certain moments in life that we will want to remember for a lifetime. One of the easiest ways for us to do it is through pictures, which is why we sometimes call them ‘Kodak moments’. When they happen, they often happen so quickly that we don’t have the chance to snap a picture but if we can, it really leaves us with a memory that will continue to touch our hearts over and over again. That includes when we surprise our loved ones with some great news.
If it is true that a picture is worth a 1000 words, then a video must be worth much more. It tells the story with more than just a still shot, you get to experience the entire moment, including the sights and sounds that go along with it. Although not every moment is going to be worthy of a video, there are some that would not quite be the same without it. That includes when we tell a loved one that we are about to become new parents or, as you are about to see, if it has already happened.
In this video, you see a woman entering the room and she had no idea that there was something amazing waiting for her once she came in. As soon as she gets around the corner you can see the look of surprise come across her face and it turns from a look of shock into an all-out cry very quickly.
The news that they had to share was that she was a new grandmother. It wasn’t like the way that most new grandmothers get the news, the family had adopted a child and she walked around the corner to see the baby already there in their arms. Would a picture have captured the moment? Perhaps, but nowhere near the way that the video captured it.
