Mom Is Stabbed To Death In Horrific Mall Attack As She Tries To Shield Her Baby From Harm

On Saturday, April 13, people were busy shopping at the Westfield’s Bondi Junction mall in Sydney. At approximately 3:10 PM, a man entered the area and began attacking shoppers with a knife in what seemed to be a random attack.

Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that six of those individuals who were attacked lost their lives and there were many other injuries that are being treated. The attacker was confronted by a single police officer who shot and killed him.

Ash Good was one of the individuals who died as a result of the attack. The 38-year-old passed away at a hospital in the evening.

At the time of the attack, Good was shopping with her nine-month-old baby. According to reports, the assailant targeted them first and she used her own body to shield the baby from attack. Her baby daughter also had stab wounds but is expected to live.

According to eyewitnesses, the assailant targeted the baby in the stroller first and then turned the knife on Good. Eyewitnesses say that she desperately tried to save her daughter’s life by running to strangers.

Good was reportedly bleeding from her face and head and the baby was bleeding when she handed her over. The two brothers who took the baby said that the mother was running toward them badly injured and yelling for help.

They grabbed the baby and ran into a nearby store to hide. He also used clothing from the rack to make bandages to stop the blood from flowing.

One of the brothers said that the injuries were very bad and there was a lot of blood on the floor. He feels that his brother’s quick actions may have saved the baby’s life.

Unfortunately, the mother began to bleed from her mouth and was eventually taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in critical condition. She died shortly after arriving. Her daughter is undergoing surgery at Sydney Children’s Hospital and is in serious condition.

Four women and a man lost their lives at the shopping center and Good died later at a hospital. Eventually, the assailant was confronted by a single police officer who shot him and killed him. He had raised his knife at the police officer before being shot.

The assailant is identified as a 40-year-old man and they do not think that the attacks were motivated by terrorism.
