Molly-Mae Hague is an English reality television personality who starred in the fifth series of the ITV2 dating show in 2019. She met the ‘man of her dreams’ on that show, and they had a baby together and were engaged to be married.
Now, the former Love Island star has announced that she and her fiancé, Tommy Fury, have called it quits. Actually, they split in August and the 25-year-old is now footloose and fancy-free.
It can be difficult when you go through such a breakup, especially when it is as public as this. She is even comparing the split to that of Charles and Diana, which is high praise from her.
Fans of the pair and the show are shocked because it didn’t seem as if there were any problems going on behind the scenes. Molly-May, however, did say that she wanted to confirm that they had parted ways and that she was ‘very upset’ over it.
Three months prior to the announcement that they split, she did say that she felt the reaction from the press and the public was similar to what Prince Charles and Diana went through. She made that claim speaking with British Vogue, saying: “It was a bit of a shock, I didn’t want what happened to happen.
“I wanted to get married next September and it’s very hard when it’s kind of taken away.
“But I will always have a lot of love and respect for him.”
There were also rumors that Fury was unfaithful to her and had supposedly slept with the Danish woman while he was on holiday in North Macedonia. He is denying the allegations of infidelity.
Molly-Mae said: “No one will ever really know what went down apart from Tommy and I, and that’s how we’d like to keep it, for Bambi’s sake.”
She also said that her wedding plans were strongly influenced by social media. She said: “Was I planning a big wedding because I wanted that image of a big wedding and the beautiful photographs and that moment that everyone would have expected from us on social media? Probably.
“Would I be more confident now, after everything that’s happened and learning even more about myself, to say, actually, that doesn’t even make me happy, screw the big Instagram moment, I’m going to do it this way? Definitely.”
