Miranda Lambert Angers Fans When Stopping Another Concert For ‘Selfies’

If you go to any events where people gather in large crowds, you are going to see people with their smartphones in their hands. Some will be scrolling social media but others will be taking selfies.

If you happen to be somebody who enjoys taking a selfie, you might not want to do so at a Miranda Lambert concert. As it turns out, she is not only against taking selfies, she isn’t afraid to embarrass somebody in front of thousands of friends.

The country music star has a reputation for stopping her concerts and telling people to quit taking selfies. Recently in Las Vegas, she stopped another concert and called out a fan in a very abrupt way.

It happened when she was singing the song Tin Man and spotted one of her fans taking a selfie. She decided she would stop in the middle of the song, tell them to stop it, and then continue on with the music.

She said: “I’m gonna stop for a minute.” She then went on to tell people they should not be taking selfies but rather, they should be listening to her music.

She went on to say: “These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song, it’s pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don’t like it at all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country da*n music.”

In a later performance, she stopped the concert but this time it was to call out a fan who was wearing a T-shirt that said: “Shoot tequila, not selfies.” She apparently appreciated it.

Lambert said: “Her shirt says, ‘Shoot tequila, not selfies. She did it, I didn’t”

People were upset with her for stopping the concert and calling out a fan, potentially even putting her at risk of being harmed. One concertgoer even said: “Way to embarrass and shame your loyal fans who adore you.”

Another person commented, saying that she could have had a little fun with it and posed for the selfie before continuing on with her music.

Others were upset that the woman she called out paid so much for her ticket and couldn’t even take a picture to enjoy the moment.

The woman who was called out has actually come forward. Adela Calin said that they were taking the picture and then returning to their seat, stating that they “took the picture quickly and were going to sit back down.”

Before they could sit down, they were called out. Calin admitted that she was ‘appalled’ at the way they were put down in front of thousands of people. She said: “It felt like I was back at school with the teacher scolding me for doing something wrong and telling me to sit down back in my place. I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture.”
