If you happen to tune into the Netflix livestream to watch Jake Paul and his boxing match against Mike Tyson, you likely were disappointed. Many people are calling it the worst fight in history, due to the fact that it was boring.
Even though the fight went the entire eight rounds, there really wasn’t much to focus on while the punches were being thrown. Unless you are interested in watching the 27-year-old man beat up a 58-year-old man, you really didn’t miss much.
This was supposed to be Mike Tyson’s big re-entrance back into the ring again, but following a unanimous decision by the judges, he lost the bout after the eight rounds was up. Perhaps he isn’t that quick to climb back into the ring again.
After the fight, however, a reporter asked him if he was surprised that it ‘went the distance.’ Mike Tyson didn’t hesitate.
He replied: “No I knew he was a good fighter, I knew he was prepared but I came to fight.”
The reporter was quick to reply and again mentioned Tyson’s age. They said: “You know, 58, a lot of people thought you shouldn’t be here a lot of people thought you’d be done and dusted in the first round, do you feel like you proved the world wrong that you could at least go eight rounds with a younger man?”
Tyson replied: “I didn’t prove nothing to anybody only to myself I’m not one of those guys that looks to please the world, I’m just happy what I can do.”
When they asked him if it would be the last time that he entered the ring, he surprised many people. Despite the fact that he had lost the fight, he is ready to go back in and this time, he would be welcoming Jake’s older brother, Logan Paul.
The reporter asked: “You got more in you, who crosses the mind?”
Right before he pointed at Logan, he said: “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe his brother.”
Logan replied: “Well f***, I’ll kill you Mike”
We’ll have to see where this one goes, but it’s interesting that people paid up to $2 million for the VIP tickets and 65,000 people were in attendance for the fight. Millions more watched it as it streamed live on Netflix.
We can’t say for sure if the fight between Mike Tyson and Logan Paul is going to take place or not, but we can hope that it is not quite as boring as the one with Logan’s brother.
