We sometimes see singers who tend to be very flashy with their lifestyle. They earn millions of dollars and they aren’t afraid to go out and spend it on cars, food, vacations, and almost anything else that you can possibly imagine.
That doesn’t seem to be the case with Michael Bublé, however, and even though he is one of the biggest names in music, he still tends to be down to earth when it comes to his lifestyle. This is especially true when it comes to taking care of his family.
Michael Bublé has been the recipient of many music awards, including some multiplatinum albums. He also owns part of a hockey team, the Vancouver Giants, and we can only imagine that he has quite a few dollars in his pocket. Despite all of that, however, he says that he likes to keep his expenses to a minimum.
He said: “I don’t have a fancy life. I don’t have a fancy car. I don’t have fancy stuff. I will never [have] a jet.”
That doesn’t mean, however, that he is against spending money. In fact, he has sunk quite a bit of money into his home, which is appraised at $25,529,000 as of January.
One of the things that he enjoys having is a hockey rink in his house, and you can understand why. After all, with a stake in a hockey team, it would only make sense that he would have some ice available.
He also is down to earth when it comes to his reasons for buying the house. He said: “I wanted this house and the real reason, and I’m telling you the truth… I want to be able to get wasted with my buddies.
“[To] have that place that they come and we can, like, smash a golf ball. That was the goal. It was like this one thing: where can I just go with my buddies and be so stupid and not worry?”
Bublé does enjoy spending time at the 27,625 square-foot mansion. It has a lot to enjoy, including a miniature soccer field, a putting green in the backyard, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a lot more undercover.
In the basement of the house, he has a full-sized hockey rink, which is incredible on its own.
Despite the fact that he has a lot of things to his name, he still says that he tries to be relatively normal when it comes to his lifestyle. Rather than spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on vehicles, he has a Lexus and a minivan.
He also decided to live in Canada rather than make the move to New York City or Los Angeles. He said: “I live in the same place. That house that I built is in the exact neighborhood where I grew up.”
Even his children go to the same elementary school he went to when he was a child. Sure, there are some parents who are starstruck when they see him but he says that he doesn’t give a sh*t. (his words)
He also said: “That’s what it is for me to be normal. It wasn’t because I’m a good person. It’s not because I’m humble… I think it’s my way of protecting myself from how scary this sh*t can be.”
