You don’t have to follow the royal family closely to recognize that there are problems in the dynamics of it. Megan Markel sometimes gets the attention, but the rift between the royal family is easy to see.
According to a royal expert, Tom Quinn, there may be some hope for reconciliation. Harry would like to reconcile with his brother but he and his wife, Megan, seem to feel that some conditions need to be met before it happens.
According to some reports, Megan is expecting the family to apologize, and to make it a ‘groveling’ apology. Quinn went on to say: “Harry would like a reconciliation but supports his wife completely, and until she feels that the royal family have been sufficiently nice to her—and grovelingly apologized for the past—it’s not going to happen”
Experts are weighing in on it, saying that the royal family could play nice with the Duchess but they don’t think that such an apology is going to be forthcoming anytime soon. In fact, some are even labeling it as ‘pure Hollywood fantasy.’
It seems as if Prince Harry would like to mend bridges with the family to get a relationship going between the children. His children, Archie and Lilibet are not familiar with their cousins, Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
Quinn continued: “Harry has spoken to friends about his sadness at not having a closer relationship with his niece and nephews, but what is upsetting him even more is the prospect of Lilibet and Archie having no relationship at all with George, Charlotte, and Louis”
Although they are hoping that the gap can be breached, Harry and Megan seem to be holding out for an apology. The Duke of Sussex believes that William and Kate should be the first ones to move in his direction with that ‘groveling’ apology.
According to Quinn, Harry implied that if he gets such an apology, he is ready to forgive.
Undoubtedly, the relationship between Prince Harry and the rest of the royal family has been a matter of public interest for quite some time. Harry has had some frustrations over the Royal institution, and he may have assumed that King Charles would eventually offer forgiveness.
There is some indication from royal insiders that King Charles and Prince William could discuss getting back together again. At this time, the royal family is facing their fair share of issues, so it may need to happen quickly.
