A very interesting turn of events took place when Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex came back on Instagram. She has posted a few personal pictures and videos since then, but the one she posted on January 7, 2025, was particularly special.
In the video that the Duchess of Sussex posted to Instagram, a tribute was paid to her late dog, Guy. It showed many precious moments and was shared in his memory, but it also shared glimpses into family life that we don’t often see.
The video was captioned: “In 2015, I adopted a beagle from a dog rescue in Canada. He had been at a kill shelter in Kentucky and given a few days to live. I swooped him up….and fell in love.”
Included in the montage video was a rare picture of Megan carrying her daughter, Princess Lilibet through the garden in their Montecito home. You also have the opportunity to hear the voices of the Prince and Princess, and it is a heartwarming moment.
The first time Prince Archie’s voice was heard was in the Netflix docuseries from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It was released in December 2022 and it explored their journey from living the royal life to living in America.
Meghan gave us the opportunity to see even more of their personal life in the video montage that she shared on Instagram recently. In one photo, you see her strolling through the garden with her young daughter on her hip.
Two of the couple’s dogs were along with them, including Guy, who was being honored in the video. You can tell that the entire landscape was perfectly manicured and beautifully cared for.
In the past, we have seen behind the scenes to a certain extent in their Netflix series as the cameras followed them around their home. We got to see Prince Archie enjoying a football game and feeding some chickens with his mother.
We don’t often get the opportunity to see these things, but when we do, we truly appreciate it.
