Marjorie Taylor Greene Sparks Outrage After Pope Francis’ Death, Saying ‘Evil Is Being Defeated By The Hand Of God’

If there is one thing that is true of many today, it’s the fact that they have a strong agenda and opinions when it comes to politics and religion. This includes some who have the ears of thousands or perhaps even millions.

One person who has been outspoken about her feelings is US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. In fact, she had something to say about the Pope just after his death that did not win her many points.

When the Vatican announced the death of 88-year-old Pope Francis on Monday morning, it sent shockwaves around the world. That Pope, known as the People’s Pope has often been known for his views on social justice.

After he died, however, the Congresswoman posted something on social media that triggered a wave of outrage online.

In a post by the Vatican, they said: “His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His Church.” They went on to speak about his ‘infinite merciful love’ of god.

Marjorie Taylor Greene had something different to say.

Many world leaders came on to express their condolences, but the senator seemed to strike up a different tone. Even though she didn’t mention the Pope specifically, she did say: “Today there were major shifts in global leaderships. Evil is being defeated by the hand of God.”

Considering the fact that she posted it just hours after the announcement of the Pope’s death, many saw the connection. She also has not yet come back to give any clarity to her remarks, but her history of religious comments and her open dislike of the Pope has added to the speculation.

Many people consider the comment to be inappropriate and cruel. There were also many who condemned the comment on social media.
