Lucky is a two-year-old chihuahua living in Thailand with his owner, Charice Fca Cha. She adopted the pup last month, but in that time, he’s already become quite the little international superstar.
Whenever they are out and about, Lucky always steals the show.
“There are so many reactions,” Charice told The Dodo. “Some people are stunned, excited, surprised. People want to meet him.”
And it’s easy to see why!
Lucky, you see, was born with a rare condition called heterochromia, where each eye develops a different coloring. In this pup’s case, one of his eyes is a beautiful shade of pale blue, while the other is a pretty brown.
But that’s not all Lucky has going on.
Over the pup’s blue eye is a dark, arching spot which resembles an exaggerated cartoonish eyebrow.
Lucky is real. But, after Charice posted his photo online, many in the crowd had a tough time believing it.
“Some people think I used a permanent pen to draw his eyebrow or photoshopped his face,” she said.
Thankfully, despite his outwardly different appearance, Lucky is a perfectly healthy pup. He was a bit skinny when Charice adopted him, but she says that she plans to plump him up a bit.
Lucky was “lucky” enough to find someone to love him both inside and out — and he knows.
“He’s a very clinging guy,” Charice said. “He sticks with me everywhere all the time.”
But you know, what makes Lucky special most of all is his heart and the deep friendship he shares with Charice. She’s looking forward to a lifetime of love with her adorable eye-catching pup right by her side.
“I think we will have a fun and very happy future,” Charice said.
