Loretta Lynn’s Beloved Granddaughter Has Died

The death of a beloved family member can be very difficult to handle. That is especially true when it is a grandchild.

Unfortunately, the official Facebook page for Loretta Lynn has announced that her first grandchild has passed away. 59-year-old Lynn Massey died ‘after a long and difficult health battle’. No other details about the health battle were included in the post.

Lynn was the daughter of Betty Sue Lynn, Loretta Lynn’s first child. She married her husband, Oliver Lynn when she was 15 years old and had six children. Loretta was only 16 years old when Betty Sue was born.

Loretta was 90 years old when she died in 2022. Betty Sue was 64 years old when she passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema.

The death of the granddaughter occurred on August 20, 2024.
