List Of Celebrities Who Lost A Home In California Wildfires

The destructive wildfires in the Los Angeles area have left a path of devastation in their wake. More than 2000 structures have been destroyed, including the homes of many celebrities.

Those wildfires are also responsible for taking a number of lives and many people were injured when they refused to evacuate. It started between Santa Monica and Malibu and for a long time, it had no containment along with high winds and dry conditions.

Firefighters have had a difficult time containing the blazes as they are moving through a number of areas, including Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, and Sunset.

Included among the homes that were destroyed are the homes of many celebrities. Here are a few celebrities that have been affected so far.

Paris Hilton

Paris had the unique experience of watching her Malibu home burned to the ground. She lived in that home along with her husband, son, and daughter and she was watching live TV when she saw it.

She said that she was ‘heartbroken beyond words’ and then said: “This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.

“While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family and pets are safe.”

Billy Crystal

Billy Crystal and his wife Janice have lived in their home for 46 years in the Pacific Palisades. They raised children and grandchildren behind those walls but it has now been destroyed by the fires.

The couple said in a statement: “Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing.

“We ache for our friends and neighbors who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy.”

Billy added: “Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends, we will get through this. We pray for the safety of the firefighters and first responders.”

Eugene Levy

When Eugene Levy had to leave his home due to a forced evacuation, he was gridlocked in among the smoke. He said: “The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon, I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.”

Unfortunately, his home was lost.

Sir Anthony Hopkins

Most people recognize Sir Anthony Hopkins because of his role as Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lamb. His home burned to the ground in the fires with only the foundation remaining.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt

Heidi Montag along with her husband, Spencer Pratt lost their home in the California wildfires. They have spoken about this openly on social media. Fortunately, they were safely evacuated along with their two sons.

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester

The wildfires consumed the $6.5 million house that they shared together. They raised their two children and that home after purchasing it in 2019.

A number of other celebrities have also possibly lost their homes, including Ricky Lake, John Goodman, Anna Ferris, Cary Elwes, Mark Hamil, Miles Teller, and Cameron Mathison.
