Lisette Oropesa Is Giving A Masterful Performance When A Chinese Opera Student Jumps In

Music is something that has the opportunity to touch our lives on a very personal level. Sometimes, it isn’t even the music that we love the most that can impact us from the heart.

Sometimes, music can take on a very unique form and at times, they may require some impromptu movements on the part of others. That is what happened when Lisette Oropesa was on stage, and someone in the audience realized something wasn’t right.

Opera student Liu Jianwei was enjoying the show but the 24-year-old recognized there wasn’t a male on stage to finish the full lyrics to Sempre libera. Fortunately, he was up to the task.

Rather than allowing the partial song, the opera student sang the tenor portion himself from the audience. This not only was something that was enjoyed by those in attendance, even Oropesa was impressed by what she heard. Of course, the video went viral.

Oropesa is a Cuban-American soprano and she was singing the fourth encore of the night. The people were really enjoying her voice and her stage presence, but when Liu joined in from the audience, it took things up to the next level.

If you happened to be in Italy at the Teatro Regio di Parma in Parma on that date, you could’ve seen it taking place live. Fortunately, it is also available on YouTube and almost 3 million people have watched it so far.
