Recently, the star celebrated her 67th birthday and she has a lot to say about the relationship with her singer-husband, Clint Black. After all, they have been married for 31 years, and that is a long time in the life of a celebrity.
The secret may seem simple, but partly, it’s the fact that she gets involved in the family business. She does so with her daughter, so they truly make it a family business.
Lisa Hartman Black became famous in the 1980s when she played on Knots Landing. She is a well-known singer and is known for her song, If Love Must Go.
As she gets older, she is looking back on a lifetime of marriage to her husband, Clint Black. Along with her daughter, they run the family business and they got together to celebrate her birthday.

It was her family that came into the focus when she shared a video that showed her, along with her husband and daughter walking together. It was to promote a television special from 2002.
When she turned 67 on June 1, her daughter was among the first to wish her a happy birthday. Lily Pearl Black went on Instagram to show the world a photo carousel and to thank her mother for being there for her. She admitted that she wanted to be like her mother when she grew up.
In the carousel of pictures, there was also a picture that was shared by Lisa in 2021. It’s a mirror selfie that was taken of the two of them and fans love the photo. Not only because of what it represented but because you could tell just how much the two look like each other.
Lily grew up in the middle of a family that was happy. It’s something that not as many people get to experience these days. It all started, however, after Lisa and Clint met backstage at a concert in 1990. He didn’t know who she was but after they met, it was love at first sight.
Clint even admitted that he knew she was special, even though he had not even seen her on TV. All it took was a look into her eyes and his world changed.
They ended up touring together for the first time in 2021 and fans have truly appreciated how much they are in love with each other. After asking how they were able to make it so long, Clint said: “Love is something that you nurture and protect. We’ve grown together in our relationship and never apart.”
He also said that she influenced him in many ways and any love song he wrote after they met was about her.
As Lily grew up, she began to display much of the same talent that her mother and father displayed. She also loves animals and they thought she would be a veterinarian but one day, they heard her singing and realized that is where she belonged.
Eventually, Lily would join her parents on tour after studying at Belmont University in Nashville. The invitation came as they sat around the dining room table and she admits that she almost cried when he asked her.
Now they have the opportunity to look back on their influence and how she grew up in a happy family. It’s a beautiful story, and one we would do well to keep in mind for our own relationships.
