When it comes to art, we all have an appreciation for it in some way or another. In reality, there are so many different types of art that it really is sometimes difficult to describe them all. Some of us have an appreciation for the classics and others may enjoy a good sculptor. Those are only scratching the surface, however, because there are a lot of talented people that may have abilities that we don’t even really consider. Liisa Hietanen is one of those individuals.
Hietanen has a talent that most people would never even consider trying, let alone accomplishing. She crochets, which isn’t amazing in and of itself but when you see what she is able to do, you’re going to be amazed by her abilities. She doesn’t crochet blankets or towels but rather, she creates lifelike models of her neighbors and friends in Finland. She has created a series known as ‘Villagers’ and it is incredible.
Every once in a while, we have the ability to see somebody who creates amazing things. Many of them are able to see the world in a different way than most of us. As an example, my sister has the ability to draw an object by just looking at it and to make it look lifelike. When she looks at something, she sees it from the front but she can also see what it looks like from behind. It’s a unique ability, and it is something that just seems to be switched on from birth.
