Although there are many talent shows on television and certainly, there is a lot of talent online, Dancing with the Stars continues to be a fan favorite. Over its many seasons, we have been introduced to various forms of dance and some people who can do it quite well.
Two of the people who dance on Dancing with the Stars this season are Joey Graziadei and his partner, Jenna Johnson. Viewers were thrilled after their dance routine, but the judges were not feeling it.
The pair performed a Paso Doble to a Lennon and McCartney song, “Come Together.” It was a Latin dance and after the foxtrot earlier received a perfect score, they were hoping to get some of that success that was shared with their competition.
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba spoke about the passion and attack of the routine, but she was critical of the footwork shown by Graziadei. Bruno agreed, saying that there was room for improvement although he did agree that they had a lot of energy.
When Derek Hough started talking, I think he took his fellow judges by surprise because he felt that she did a fantastic job. They weren’t able to achieve a perfect score but they did receive a 28/30, which is not bad.
Fans, however, were disagreeing and felt that they deserved all 30 points and they were quick to talk about their feelings online. Some were essentially saying they were over it because it was the ‘best routine all season.’
The criticism of the judges continued, and many people agreed that they should’ve gotten the perfect score. Others, however, felt that they received a good score and that was enough.
That included Graziadei, who was thrilled to get a spot in the finals, which he was pursuing. He shared that he was motivated by more than a personal achievement held in front of him. He wanted to be the first male lead from The Bachelor to reach the finale of Dancing with the Stars.
Graziadei was also happy with the feedback and said that he was relieved the dance was over. He was also looking forward to getting to the semi-finals, which is what he was able to do.
Nice going, and we look forward to seeing you dance again.
