I’m sure that all of us would say that we have a favorite song, although that song may change from one year to another. Every once in a while, however, there is one particular song that just seems to touch us in a way that we continue to love it for many years. Sometimes they are classics, being loved by millions of other people and that is the case with a very simple song, Over the Rainbow. It’s a song that I’m sure you could sing by heart and one that you would enjoy hearing.
Over the Rainbow was originally part of the classic movie, The Wizard Of Oz. The song itself was played in 1939, which is an incredible amount of time to pass by for a song still to be popular. Of course, we don’t hear the song playing very often on the radio any longer but there have been some people who have done a copy of the song that gained a lot of traction. This includes Josh Groban, who redid the song in a way that is absolutely incredible. In fact, when you hear him perform it, it may sound almost as if it is the first time you’re hearing it.
Do you remember the first time you heard the song, Over the Rainbow? Many people heard it when watching the Wizard of Oz but there are also a number of other artists who performed it over the years. This includes one artist from Hawaii, who made it quite famous all over again. When you hear him singing it with along with the ukulele, you can’t help but cry at the words and the music he is singing.
An interesting album that covers many of the classic music that we have enjoyed over the years has been released. It is called Stages, and it includes tributes to Hollywood movies and Broadway musical songs that have inspired generations. For now, however, you can enjoy listening to Over the Rainbow by Josh Groban and hear it from a fresh perspective.
