The game of basketball is an exciting sport and people will spend a lot of time watching it during the season. They likely have their own favorite NBA star, and for many, this would be Joel Embiid.
Even if he isn’t your favorite, the Philadelphia 76ers player certainly can get your attention from time to time. Recently, he lost his cool in front of a female referee and people are not happy about it.
When Embiid lost it in front of the referee, he was ejected from the game against the San Antonio Spurs. It occurred after referee Jenna Schroeder gave him two technical fouls.
There was only two minutes and 59 seconds left in the second quarter after he received his first technical foul. It was for disputing the foul called on Victor Wembanyama. Within moments, he had received his second technical and was expelled.
There are some who believe he made contact with Schroeder as he approached her, which would have been a big problem. Some say that his chin brushed against her hand as she signaled the decision.
After he was ejected, he had to be restrained by another teammate, Kyle Lowery. In addition, a number of assistants and the head coach, Nick Nurse were there to hold him back.
An NBA sports broadcaster commented on the incident. She said: “It’s a foul (on Wembanyama), every which way. You can see he is up disputing it, she is trying to discuss it calmly, and he goes off.”
Sure looks like Joel Embiid committed an offensive foul, and lost his balance. Think he may have been embarrassed and got the 2 technicals.

“He approaches and steps to her as if he wants to have a physical confrontation, which I have a problem with. He has to be restrained. He is now out of the game. I have a lot to say, as a woman.”
There was a lot of drama but he still showed up on the court to join in on the celebration after the game. He also didn’t seem to regret what he had done.
Jenna Schroeder has over four years of experience and more than 100 games to her name. It was a challenging night for her, to say the least.
