Jane Seymour, the famous British-American actress best know for her role as one of the iconic Bond Girls, made her screen debut in 1969 in an uncredited role in the musical comedy “Oh! What a Lovely War.”

The young Jane would soon transition into becoming a leading lady in film and TV. And it wasn’t long before the young beauty took the world by storm, becoming a household name. Today, the talented actress shares her gifts both as an entertainer and a successful entrepreneur.

Seymour would first find success in her role on the 1972 TV series “The Onedin Line,” which aired until 1973. After that role, she discovered critical acclaim in many roles on both TV and film, including “East of Eden,” and “Captains and the Kings.”

Seymour’s been nominated for several awards and is beloved by both fans and critics.

And in 2000, she was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire. Top things off, she’s the founder of the Open Hearts Foundation.

In March 2022, in an interview with The Zoe Report, Seymour talked about what it means to be a philanthropist and to find acting roles that mean something to her. She said it’s her desire to spread positive messages to as many people as possible in her personal and professional life.
“The most rewarding aspect of my acting career I think was being involved in something like ‘War and Remembrance,’ where I actually was able to speak at universities and talk about the Holocaust and talk about how this kind of hatred was continuing today. It’s amazing when you can tell a story that has such a significance and it’s part of a drama.”

She also talked about how much of her personality she puts into acting roles.
“When it comes to doing roles now, I really try to put myself into the character as much as I can,” Seymour said.

Seymour currently has several projects in the works. Most recently, she played a retired professor turned accidental detective in “Harry Wild,” a film released in April.
In May 2021, Seymour spoke about her life as a movie star during her younger years and the newfound sense of revival her career’s had of late.
“Who knew I would suddenly have a whole new career?” she said, explaining how her 70th birthday was truly a milestone. “It’s unbelievable.”

Seymour admits she works very hard to keep herself in excellent shape to look as good as she does.
“When I do work out, I tend to do Pilates reformer (exercises),” she said. “Because I do have (dance) injuries, it really helps me enormously. I also do gyrotonics, which does more of a rotation of the spine, which I find to be very important.”
In fact, moving her body is something that Seymour does right when she wakes up. “It sounds kind of silly but the first thing I do, I learned from a dancer, is jiggle my spine and hips and knees and feet,” she said. “You can do it laying on your back in bed and it’s so good for the spine and hips. Then I have my coffee and I shower and wash my hair every single day.”

On February 15, 2022, Seymour turned 71 and looks positively stunning. No one could ever guess her real age as she remains an ageless beauty. But, did you know that Jane has an adult daughter who’s also an actress herself? Her name is Katherine Flynn, and she’s the spitting image of her mother!

On rare occasions, Jane and Katherine are filmed together; fans always note how much they look more like sisters than mother and daughter. The pair have also starred alongside each other in a TV movie.

The pair were in the romantic comedy “Perfectly Prudence,” which also starred Seymour’s former co-star Joe Lando. In the film, Katherine plays Seymour’s daughter, a role she knows very well!

In 2011, Katherine talked about what it was like working with her mom, telling Assignment X:
“Oh, it was a blast,” she said. “We ran lines every night, we had dinner really late. It was an experience.” Beforehand, the pair had worked together on a web series called “The Quitter Show.”

Katherine explained, “She played my mother in that and it was very fun.” In 2020, Katherine also commended her mom for all the work she’s done as the founder of the Open Hearts Foundation.

A few days after her 71st birthday, on February 21, 2022, Seymour shared a picture of her and Katherine. In the caption, she wrote:
“I was flooded with so many emotions when I first saw this photo. What an incredible and strong woman Katie has become.” She also referred to Katherine as a “resilient” woman and as her friend. Again, people were blown away by just how similar the two women looked. One person commented, “What beautiful souls you and your daughter are.”
