Although we may experience love in many areas of life, there is nothing quite like the love that we get from our mothers. When the mother/daughter or mother/son relationship is working properly, the amount of love that flows from the mother is off the charts. It is something that we tend to remember for the rest of our lives and the relationship that we have with our mothers continues to stick in our mind for years to come. That being said, there are other relationships that we may have as well and perhaps one that should not be left out of the mix is the love a grandmother has for her grandson.
I think that most of us would agree that there was something special about being with our grandparents. They were like our parents, but there was something extra special about them. Perhaps it was the fact that they weren’t restricted as our parents are, although they do their best to teach us right from wrong. It may also have to do with the fact that grandparents can send us home at the end of the day but our parents are there for us every day. In any case, there is a special bond that forms between a grandparent and their grandchildren and it is easy to see in the video below.
It isn’t very often in life that we have the opportunity to see something that is truly wholesome. In fact, many of us may have forgotten what wholesome looks like. All it takes is a single look at this video, however, and you are sure to be moved to tears.
In the clip below, the young man named Matt tells his grandmother that he loves her. She says the same, but then she ends up breaking down while she tries to express to him exactly what he means to her. In the end, he simply says: “There’s nothing like a grandmother’s love!”
