Grammys Viewers Notice One Country Star ‘Fuming’ After Beyoncé Wins Country Album Award

The 2025 Grammy Awards may have come and gone, but the action that took place during the evening will live on forever. That is especially true of one award that not everybody was happy with.

When Beyoncé was awarded the Best Country Album award for her studio album for 2024, Cowboy Carter, she appeared to be surprised. As the video scanned the audience, however, it seemed as if everybody didn’t share her enthusiasm.

As you watch the video, look at the expression on Kacey Musgrave’s face. Apparently, she wasn’t quite feeling the award but there was more to it than that.

Kacey was running up against the Queen Bey with her own album, Deeper Well. Many other country music stars were also in the running, including Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and Post Malone.

When all was said and done, however, Taylor Swift was able to award Beyoncé the honor of being selected for the Best Country Album. After the scan of the audience showed up online, however, people were quick to notice that Kacey Musgraves did not appear very happy.

Although she may have appeared surprised, most people were expecting that Beyoncé would walk away with a couple of awards this year. After all, her country music album put her in the running for 11 awards total.
