When it comes to musicians, they have abilities that we often find to be incredible. I’m not necessarily talking about their ability to sing or play an instrument, I’m talking about how they can move an audience to make them feel every emotion imaginable. Music has that ability, to make us feel good when we are feeling down or to make us think when we have something on our mind. There are times when we hear a song and we feel as if it was written exactly for us and our specific circumstances.
Any singer has the ability to make us feel those feelings but some are able to do so with a great gift. That includes country music singer Garth Brooks, and I think all of us can safely say that we have heard his music. In fact, we may even have sung along with his songs when we hear them on the radio. His shows tend to be full of energy and they are exciting to watch but when you get to know him, you find that he has a soft side as well. It is the soft side that comes through in the video below.
It’s hard to believe that it was October 2000 when Garth Brooks said he was retiring to focus on his family. He was at the top of his game and was still a young man in the music industry but now that industry was missing one of the biggest stars they had ever known. His music had brought new life into the country music industry and people loved him for what he had to offer.
14 years later in 2014, he released a new album and was invited to appear on Ellen. It seems that she always has the ability to bring out the best in her stars, so he sang one of his biggest hits, ‘Ain’t Going down til the Sun Comes up’. He also performed an acoustic version of another song, Mom. This song really brought out the emotion in Ellen and her audience, and it is sure to have the same effect on you.
You can see his emotional song in the following video:
