Father Spends 24 Years Finding His Kidnapped Son On A Motorcycle

When we are caring parents, we do what we can to ensure that our children are going to be happy, healthy, and well cared for throughout their lifetime. The last thing that we would want is for anything to happen to them, especially to be separated from them for any length of time. Unfortunately, it does happen from time to time and it is devastating when a child is lost or kidnapped. That was the situation in 1997, when a two-year-old boy was abducted. Guo Gangtang, the boy’s father, decided he was going to do something about it.

The little boy was playing near his home in China and according to ABC, it is not out of the ordinary for children to be abducted in that part of the world. The children are then sold and it became a serious problem, especially because the law in China at the time only allowed for most parents to have a single child. The traffickers that kidnapped the little boy sold him to another couple in central China. The father was only 27 years old at the time and he decided he was going to get on his motorcycle and find his little boy.

During the time that he searched for his boy, he covered about 310,000 miles on his motorcycle. It took 24 years, and he would sleep under bridges, beg for money and do whatever was necessary in order to get by. He always had his son’s picture on his back.

He ended up seeing success, because his son has been found and it’s a reunion that you will love seeing. You can see it for yourself in the following video:
