It’s always interesting when a celebrity makes a change, as it often is caught by the media. Emma Dumont recently made a change, and it is something that has taken many people by surprise.
Emma Dumont, who is well known for her role in Oppenheimer has officially come out. They have said that they are a trans masculine non-binary person. On top of it, they have changed their name.
It can be difficult to be who you are when everyone is looking so closely at you. The pressure can be tremendous, and sometimes people just step outside of the lines and live their lives, regardless of who is watching.
Dumont decided that they wanted to make a change as well, and the Oppenheimer actor is making other changes along with it. They have changed their identity, their name, and their pronouns.
Professionally, they will continue to use their birth name but according to their publicist, they will be using a different name in their personal life. Dumont also changed their pronouns on Instagram, saying that they go by they/them rather than she/her.
Representatives say that they are identifying as a ‘trans masculine non-binary person’ They went on to reveal their new name: “Their work name is still going to be Emma Dumont, but they will go by Nick with friends and family.”
Dumont played Jackie Oppenheimer in the 2023 film, Oppenheimer. They also added the name ‘Nick’ to that profile on social media. This isn’t something that was seen a long way off, but they did show a shorter haircut in May, even though they had longer hair prior to that.
After cutting their hair short, fans love the new lock, saying that they looked ‘sassy’ and cute.
One thing that has yet to be seen is how they will play roles in future movies or on television. Previously, Dumont started television series, including The Gifted and Aquarius. They also appeared in the horror movie, Wrong Turn and we are relating for the next release of the horror film, New Me.
I think that we probably haven’t heard the end of this yet.
