Elon Musk is pushing people to cancel Netflix because of one show, even though the series has strong reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. The Tesla CEO has been sharing posts from people online saying they ended their subscriptions, and he joined in himself.
When one user posted that they canceled their account, Musk answered: “Same.” In another post, he told parents: “Cancel Netflix for the health of your kids.”

The show at the center of this is Dead End: Paranormal Park. It first came out in 2022 and had two seasons with a total of 20 episodes. Critics gave it a perfect score while the audience score was 73 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
The backlash started when a clip resurfaced showing the main character, Barney Guttman, saying that he is transgender. Groups like Gays Against Groomers and Libs of TikTok have complained about it, saying the show should not cover those topics since it is rated TV-Y7 for children.

Musk has reposted and agreed with messages that say Netflix is pushing transgender content on kids. His comments connect with his wider views on the trans community, something that has been public for years.
His daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, who is now 21, transitioned and has spoken out about her father’s opinions. Musk has said in an interview with Jordan Peterson that the “woke mind virus” has “killed” his relationship with her.

Netflix has dealt with similar pressure before. In 2021, people criticized the platform for releasing Dave Chappelle’s specials, which many thought made harmful jokes about the trans community. At the time, the company defended artistic freedom, saying it cannot please everyone but it supports creators.
Musk has also targeted other platforms in the past, including Facebook, NPR, and even Apple when he disagreed with them. His stance against Dead End: Paranormal Park follows the same pattern of him pushing boycotts against companies he does not agree with.
