Eddie Murphy’s Partner Paige Butcher Left Social Media And Lives A Quiet Life

Eddie Murphy is one of the best-known comedians of our time. He was born and raised in the 1960s but for the past 40 years, he has been making us laugh with stand up, movie appearances and on television.

When you look at all of the different things that Eddie Murphy was able to do in his life, it’s nothing short of amazing. Even a short list of his movies, including “48 Hrs.,” “Beverly Hills Cop,” “Coming to America,” “Doctor Dolittle,” and “Shrek” really shows you how diverse he was.

Murphy is more than a comedian and actor, however, he also is a family man. He and his long-term partner, 43-year-old Paige Butcher have been together since 2012 in a good relationship. They have two children together and Butcher co-parents his other children.

Prior to being with Murphy, Butcher was a model, and did some acting. She was born in Australia in 1979 and although she was known as being an actress, it wasn’t something that she had always dreamed of doing.

For the past 20 years, Butcher has been involved in modeling and acting. She actually got started when she was around seven. Some of the movies she was in include “Something’s Gotta Give,” “Big Momma’s House 2,” and Maxim the Real Swimsuit DVD Vol. 2 (2005).

Now that they have been together in a blended family for almost 10 years, they also have welcomed children and grandchildren into the mix.

When Butcher moved to the United States, she did so ‘mainly for the lifestyle.’ She said: “Living in New York after 14 years, I’m such an outdoors kind of person. I love gardening and building things. I like restoring old furniture.” She started restoring old furniture while doing Habitat for Humanity. “I started building houses with them, and I took what I learned from them and started doing stuff for myself.”

Many times, she will spend her days doing work around the home, including some handyman work and gardening. She appreciates being able to have the artistic outlet and she finds it therapeutic.

Something else that Butcher has done to relieve stress in her life is to say goodbye to social media. She said: “I had Facebook for about a year, then I moved on to Instagram, got rid of both, went to Twitter, then eventually got rid of all of them.”

She also let us know why she did it, saying: “I’m in a relationship with a celebrity, so I felt like there’s already enough of me out there. I felt like I was giving out too much information. I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now.”
