Ed Sheeran surprised students at a Florida high school with an unannounced visit that turned into an unforgettable performance. Not only did he play his hit song “Perfect” live, but he also gave away guitars and concert tickets, creating a moment the students won’t soon forget.
The visit happened earlier this year at a Hillsborough County Public School, where Sheeran took the time to talk with students, pose for photos, and sign autographs after performing. He even joined in a jam session with students, performing his song “Photograph” as a duet with one of the girls while others played along on acoustic guitars.
Sheeran told the students, “I thought I’d come and play some songs for you and I’ve also brought some guitars to give to you guys for the music department.”
The excitement didn’t stop there. Sheeran said: “I’m playing at a stadium tomorrow and I’ve got tickets for all of you guys to come.”
He noted the stadium show would be for 72,000 fans, but said he was excited to perform a “tiny concert right here” just for the students.
This isn’t the first time Sheeran has caught fans off guard with an impromptu performance. He also recently joined a street musician at a mall, singing “Thinking Out Loud” together. That surprise duet racked up more than 22 million views online, showing just how much fans love his spontaneous style.
