Ed Sheeran Performs You Need Me, I Don’t Need You Live

Ed Sheeran is a singer and songwriter who is not only popular in his home country of England, he is popular around the world. He just continues to put out more and more music that entertains the masses.

One of the songs that he performed was released in 2011 as a part of his debut studio album, +. It was the track, ‘You Need Me, I Don’t Need You’ but it ended up being rerecorded with a heavier beat.

The song went on to do very well and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry. It was also popular on the UK singles chart, as it went to number four.

At first, the song did not necessarily meet with a lot of popularity among the critics. One critic even called it a ‘frenetically strummed, wordy kiss-off.’ That didn’t stop Sheeran from continuing to play it and he has done quite well with it.

Over the years, Sheeran has performed this song on the stage as well as a variety of live performances behind the scenes. One of those was for The Live Room, with the recording session being recorded at Hinge Studios in Chicago, IL.

If you loved the song from the album, you are going to enjoy watching and hearing him performing it live for a small audience in a studio. You can do so here:
