Duck Dynasty Star Breaks Down After Thieves Steal Family Bible

Sadie Robertson Huff and her husband Christian were in Atlanta when something happened that really shook them up. Their car got broken into while they were eating at a restaurant with their two young daughters.

Sadie talked about it on her podcast, saying: “(They) stole our backpacks, which had important things in there including all of our family’s passports.” That included Christian’s driver’s license and credit cards too.

But what really hit them was that the thief took something even more personal. Sadie said: “They stole his Bible that he’s had forever. I mean, it was sad.”

They didn’t just shrug it off. The whole thing became a moment of reflection during the episode. Christian said: “We also prayed that the fear of God would follow them.”

Sadie added her own thoughts. She said: “I prayed it would lead them to repentance, and they would open Christian’s Bible and start reading it. And feel the fear of the Lord.”

She didn’t hold back about how rough the experience was, especially with their daughters, Honey and Haven, in the backseat. Sadie said: “The windows are punched in. We have over an hour drive to where we are actually trying to get to. And we had to drive there with the windows busted out on the interstate in Atlanta.”

She finished that thought with something that every parent would feel in that moment. She said: “And the girls are scared.”

It wasn’t just about stuff being taken. It was about their sense of safety, about what it meant to their kids, and about trying to turn something bad into something meaningful. The Bible meant a lot to them, and now it was in a stranger’s hands.

There wasn’t a happy ending tied up in a bow. Just a family trying to keep calm and move forward. Sadie and Christian didn’t hold out hope they’d get anything back, but they hoped something good might still come from it.
