Dolly Parton’s Husband Dies And The Country Singer Posts A Heartbreaking Statement

Dolly Parton has spent almost 50 years of her life together with her husband, Carl Dean. Unfortunately, he has now passed away, leaving the country music singer grieving.

82-year-old Carl Dean, the husband of country music singer Dolly Parton passed away on March 3. He died in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

Following his death, Dolly Parton has released a statement. It reads: “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words can’t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.”

The family is also asking for privacy during this difficult time in their lives.

Dean is survived by his wife, Dolly Parton and his siblings, Sandra and Donnie. A private ceremony with immediate family will be held when he is laid to rest.

Dolly Parton was on a podcast last year, and she said: “He said, ‘Look, now I want you to do everything you want to do, and I wish you the best, but don’t ever ask me to go to another one of these damn things because I ain’t going,’ and he never did.”

This didn’t surprise her at the time because Dean was known for his desire to stay out of the spotlight, so she understood his decision.

They had been married for nearly 60 years and even renewed their vows at their home in Nashville in 2016.

They sometimes say that opposites attract, and it sounds like the two of them are a perfect example. She one time said: “He’s quiet and I’m loud, and we’re funny… we have a lot of fun.

“Anytime [there is] too much tension going on, either one of us can like, find a joke about it to really break the tension, where we don’t let it go so far. We never fought back and forth.”

Dolly Parton was 18 years old when Dean, 21, met up with her at the Wishy-Washy Laundromat in 1964. He drove past in his pickup truck and ‘hollered’ at her when he saw her.

He continued to support her as she became famous but he stayed behind the scenes, running his road paving business while she did the singing.

Years later, they still had a spark to their marriage. She even revealed in 2022 that she dressed up for him at home.

In an interview, she once said: “Every day, I put on some makeup and fix my hair because I think, ‘Well, the whole world, I’m out here and everybody else sees me all dressed up, and I’m not going to just kind of go home and just flop on him.”

May he rest in peace.
