If you happen to be a big fan of movies, you may find that it is one of the most relaxing ways to spend an afternoon. You don’t have to limit your movie watching activities to sitting on the sofa with Netflix, either, you can head off to the theater and enjoy some true action. More than likely, you have a favorite movie that you enjoy watching regularly but when you have been anticipating a new movie, there are times when you have a difficult time waiting for it to arrive at the theater.
Although movies are constantly coming out, there are some older movies that will always be classics. These include many movies with Dick Van Dyke, such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or Mary Poppins. Not only were those movies a lot of fun to watch when we were children, they are still a lot of fun to watch now that we are older. It wasn’t only the acting that got our attention either, it was the music and the songs that they sing. That includes perhaps one of the better-known songs from that era, the theme song from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
One of the most famous actors of all time is Dick Van Dyke. He was also a star in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and many other musicals of that era. Today, Dick Van Dyke is over 90 years old but when you look at him, he still looks great for his age. At times, he is caught by the paparazzi out and about near his home but there are also times when he goes out on purpose to surprise the public.
In the video below, you see Dick Van Dyke at a Denny’s in Santa Monica. He was there for a Grand Slam but he also wanted to put a performance for everyone who happened to be in the restaurant that day. He was with some friends who were in on the surprise and they began singing the theme song from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to the amazement of everyone inside.
