On May 4, Dawn French was looking fabulously chick in black as she and her hubby stepped out for a lovely Wednesday night dinner.
The 64-year-old comedian was wearing all black while sporting a leopard print handbag for their date night, with the couple dining at a local Chinese restaurant in London’s famed Chinatown district.

Dawn, who previously abandoned her iconic black bob during the lockdown, styled her grey tresses into beautifully sleek Quif for the evening.

The comedy legend, who was previously married to comedian Lenny Henry kept her look simple and classic, teaming a black buttoned top with a black, collarless jacket.

Dawn, who remarried in 2013 to Mark Bignell, remained cautious during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as she and her husband both wore face masks while strolling down the street.

In April, Dawn was able to find a bit of light relief during her isolation after she tested positive for Covid when she laughed herself to pieces reading fans’ reactions to her brand new look.
The Vicar of Dibley star also shared a selfie of her naturally grey hair styled into pigtails while wearing glasses.

Despite embracing her new natural grey hair, Dawn’s previously suggested that she may grow out her short hair and return to her trademark bob.
She told Good Housekeeping magazine the main reason she decided to go au natural:
‘The real trigger came during the lockdowns when I was dying my hair myself, and I just couldn’t be bothered to keep doing it, so I let my natural grey come through. “

She admitted to cutting her own hair, much to the horror of her hairdresser. Dawn continued:
‘It’s much shorter than I’m used to now and I do have certain “grr” moments when I’m going out and I don’t know how to style it – I would literally give my old hair 13 minutes of my time each day.
‘But the plan is to grow it again like my old hairstyle. I’m curious to see what the bob might look like with a good strong grey.’
