Fans of British comedic icon Dawn French are still getting used to her new hairdo after deciding to ditch her trademark brunette bob in 2020 during the lockdown.
And recently, Dawn put on another chic display as she continued showing off her grey curls while attending Sondheim’s Old Friends in London.

The 64-year-old comedian was rocking an all-black outfit while she donned a long waterfall-style leather jacket.
Under, she wore a flowing jersey dress with a v-shaped neckline connected with three silver hoops.

Dawn completed her look with a sweep of dark smokey eyeshadow while wearing a pair of suede Chelsea boots with gold detailing.

The comedian was beaming from ear to ear while posing for pictures outside the event, which celebrated American composer Stephen Sondheim’s legacy.
As to what motivated Dawn to go au natural, she told Good Housekeeping Magazine:
‘The real trigger came during the lockdowns when I was dying my hair myself, and I just couldn’t be bothered to keep doing it, so I let my natural grey come through.
Admitting to cutting her own hair – much to her hairdresser’s alarm – Dawn continued: ‘It’s much shorter than I’m used to now and I do have certain “grr” moments when I’m going out and I don’t know how to style it – I would literally give my old hair 13 minutes of my time each day.
‘But the plan is to grow it again like my old hairstyle. I’m curious to see what the bob might look like with a good strong grey.’
