David Bowie Sings One Of His Most Iconic Songs: Heroes

We have certainly seen our fair share of talented singers over the years. When we hear their music on the radio, it has the ability to move us and to change our mood instantly. We may even keep a certain song on hand just in case we need a little pick me up. Of course, music is not just about making us feel different on the inside, it can also make us better people. For example, if you were to put a list of something to music, you would not easily forget it. It’s just another power that music has.

One of the singers that we may think of when we imagine an iconic individual is David Bowie. He just seems to be in a class all to himself and it doesn’t matter if you are a huge fan or not, you have to admit that he brought something to the music industry that was incredible. For those of us who are David Bowie fans, I think we could safely say that we would listen to his music over and over again. Some of his songs are well known and others are not as often heard, but all of them are unique.

There is one particular sone by Bowie that we don’t hear very often, but it is one that is certainly worthy of our attention. It was written by David Bowie and Brian Eno in 1977 and released to the public. The song is called Heroes, and it’s one of those legendary songs that just seems to give us chills every time we hear it.

Although you might be familiar with the song, Heroes, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you are familiar with why it was written. The song was written during the ‘Berlin Period’ in David Bowie’s life. It was popular in the area but was not as popular in the United States and not in the UK as well. Overall, it ended up being his second most popular song and belongs up there with the first, Rebel Rebel.
