Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Just Got Real With ‘Germs Germs Go Away’

Ever since we were little children we continued to hear the same advice from our parents. At times, it may have even gone beyond advice and we might have considered it nagging. That advice was simple, wash your hands! Now that we are dealing with the coronavirus and the entire world is taking notice of how important it is to keep our hands clean, the message that we share with our children is of even greater importance. It’s more than just telling them to wash their hands and to do so long enough and often enough, sometimes we need to get some music involved.

I don’t think I need to tell any parents how much “Baby Shark” has made an impression in our children’s lives. In fact, it probably is something that we have running around to our head more often than we would like to admit. Since music plays such an important part in helping our children to learn, then the Baby Shark company has gone on to produce a video about washing your hands. It really provides great advice for grabbing soap, rubbing your hands and rinsing your hands. It even talks about drying your hands, which is an important part of the process. It’s a great way to ensure that your children are washing their hands often enough.

In this modern day of social distancing, it isn’t enough to wash your hands, you also need to learn how to cover your sneeze, and cough into your elbow. This little video teaches children how to do that, which will protect both them and others.

This song is probably not going to reach the level of Baby Shark, but it is something that every child should hear frequently. You never know, songs like this may just make a difference and get us all out of our self isolation just a little earlier.
