Dancing Cop Steals The Spotlight At Notting Hill Carnival

A policeman dancing at the Notting Hill Carnival ended up becoming the main attraction for a few minutes and the crowd loved it. People also thought his face looked familiar once they got a good look at him.

He was standing in front of the stage during a hip hop set, and the emcee noticed he was already moving along to the music. The emcee told him to come closer and give everyone a show, so he stepped right into it and did not hold back.

The officer turned out to be Dan Graham, who is 34, and he showed off quick footwork and some smooth moves that surprised a lot of people. It made more sense when people realized that he had reached the semi-finals on a talent show back in 2017.

When he auditioned for that show, he showed up in his police uniform and one of the judges already wanted to hit the golden buzzer before hearing anything. But he ended up doing a freestyle dance routine that made the crowd cheer, and a lot of women were practically swooning over him.

The judges all liked him enough to send him through to the next round so he had a big moment there too. Then the next day something completely different happened when he was out celebrating with friends in Surrey.

He heard a car crash nearby and went over to help and detained the driver until the on duty officers arrived. They later arrested the driver for being unfit to drive which made his weekend even more memorable in a very different way.

People online reacted the same way the carnival crowd did after seeing the new video. Many said it was fun to see an officer who knows how to enjoy himself while also doing a tough job.

Some comments said things like they wished more officers had that kind of energy and that it was good to see the lighter side of policing. Others said it showed how much they deal with in their work and that moments like this help people connect with them.

Either way, Graham ended up getting another wave of attention years after his first televised moment. And all he really did was dance the way he always has when music starts up around him.
