Congressman Sparks Angry Debate After Proposing Donald Trump’s Face On New $250 Bill

Ever since Pres. Donald Trump took office just a few weeks ago, it seems as if something controversial has been happening every day. Some of it is started by him but the rest seems to surround him.

A Republican representative, Joe Wilson, decided to post something online and he was expecting to get a lot of support. What he really received was backlash because he wanted to have Donald Trump’s face put on a new currency.

It seems as if Donald Trump has a real friend in South Carolina after Representative Joe Wilson went on Twitter to post an image. It happened on February 25, and the picture revealed what a $250 bill with Trump’s face on it would look like. He said that it was getting close to becoming a reality.

The bill has the usual green color and Trump’s face is in full color on the front. He wrote: “Grateful to announce that I am drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Donald J. Trump.

“Bidenflation has destroyed the economy forcing American families to carry more cash. Most valuable bill for most valuable President!”

Wilson thought that he would get a lot of support from his followers but there was a lot of criticism came his way. Some felt that this should not be an important part of his agenda.

Even some who voted for Donald Trump came on to say that there were more pressing issues at hand. Others pointed out the fact that a living president should not be on the face of any currency.

In a post that followed up, Wilson appeared to be going full force. He said: “Grateful to introduce the DONALD J. TRUMP $250 BILL ACT. This big beautiful bill will honor the 250th birthday of America and our most valuable President Donald J. Trump!

“Thank you to cosponsors @RepHarshbarger @RepRalphNorman @repdarrellissa. GOD BLESS AMERICA.”
