College Students Face Backlash For Wearing ‘Black Face’ For Diddy Halloween Costume

When it comes to Halloween costumes, it seems as if the sky is the limit. People will use almost anything as an inspiration for the costume, but there are times when they go too far.

Two college students wanted to dress up for Halloween so they did so using Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs as their inspiration. After his arrest and the revelation that there were thousands of bottles of baby oil in his homes, they had what they needed for their processing.

Although many people find it funny, we are sure that Diddy is not laughing at this time. He is currently being held under the charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

There are also a number of lawsuits coming forward against Combs, and some of them are very serious. All that he is waiting for now is to go to trial but he is still behind bars because they denied him bail.

These college students thought that it was too big of a situation to ignore, so they donned their outfits and went to a party. One of them was dressed up as Combs and the other was dressed up as baby oil.

The original video was posted that was captioned: “How the group chat dressed for Halloween.”

The man who dressed as Diddy was white, but he used some type of covering for his face that made him look darker. Essentially, he used blackface.

He also wore some clothing that was more appropriate, including a red bow tie with a dark blazer and white sneakers.

His partner was dressed in a pink hat and shirt and had a sign attached to her that said ‘Johnson’s baby’.

The original video and the social media accounts of the person who first posted the video have been deleted. That didn’t stop it from going viral and grabbing the attention of many, including some who reposted the original video on social media.

A lot of criticism came their way, both for using blackface and for making fun of the allegations against Diddy. Someone called blackface disgusting and said that it really wasn’t that funny of a joke.

As of yet, the students have not been identified but it is thought that they attended San Diego State University in California.

Regardless of where they go, they have been criticized by many online. Even the University is looking into the situation, with the statement from a spokesperson noting: “Our team is working to confirm information, including the location and the names and affiliations of the individuals involved.

“We appreciate the willingness of people who have come forward to share information with the university. The use of blackface and any actions making light of sexual assault are deeply offensive and have no place in a respectful, caring community.”
