Clint Eastwood Has An Amazing Home Now That He Is Nearing 100

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about Clint Eastwood? Some people may think about some of his more famous movies, such as Grand Torino or Unforgiven. Others may think about some of his spaghetti Westerns or perhaps a catchphrase, such as ‘Go ahead, make my day’. We often think about him in his role as an actor or perhaps as a director but very few of us see him as an aging individual in our mind. After all, he was a young man when he first started out in the movies and it has immortalized him to a certain extent.

As it turns out, there is something else that Clint Eastwood is known for and that is ‘Mission Ranch’. He came onto the scene when he was first 21. He was a lumberjack and eventually was drafted, but when he saw Mission Ranch, it was love at first sight. In fact, he said that it was a place that he would like to call home. The property itself is located in an area with plenty of wetlands in the area where the Carmel River runs into the Pacific. The views from the area are some of the most spectacular in all of northern California. There are also plenty of animals in the area, adding to its special charm.

At first, Eastwood wanted to renovate one particular building in town but after he was rejected, he found out that it was happening to all of the residents. That is when he decided to step up to the plate and become mayor and he won.

Eastwood decided he would buy 22 acres of land for $5 million. Rather than allowing developers to come in and flatten it, he wanted it to be preserved. These days, Mission Ranch has 31 guestrooms, a bar, and a modern restaurant. It still has beautiful views of the coast and Eastwood is still busy making it a better place.
