Brad Paisley is well known for his country music excellence but he and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley are not immune to what is taking place in the world. Unfortunately, they recently lost the first house they had together in the Palisades wildfire.
They first got together in 2001 when she was invited to perform in his music video for the song, ‘I’m Gonna Miss Her.’ He was already smitten with her, after seeing her perform in Father of the Bride in 1991.
They were married in 2003 and had two children, Huck in 2007 and Jasper in 2009. They feel that parenting is a rewarding experience and in Brad’s words: “so far they’re pretty good.”
They have been dedicated to raising their children in a nurturing environment and do their best to create family moments that will be remembered for a lifetime.
The couple purchased their first family home in March 2004. It was in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles and was a 3304 square foot, four bedroom, three bathroom property. The purchase price was $1,644,000.
The residence had been built in 1925 but it had been renovated to bring it up to modern specifications and conveniences while still maintaining the historic character.
There were plenty of cozy spots in the house, including a kitchen with stone floors, a breakfast nook, a bonus room above the detached garage, and a stone patio with a vine-covered pergola. The views were magnificent.
They made a lot of nice memories in the first home but eventually, they sold that property in September 2013. They made a decent return on their money, selling it for $2.5 million.
Unfortunately, that home was destroyed in January 2025 in the California wildfires that were sweeping through the Palisades area of Los Angeles. Paisley went on Instagram to share his sorrow as they lost their former home.
“We lived in Pacific Palisades for years. It was the first house Kim and I bought together.”
He spoke about some of the good memories he had from his home in the Palisades, expressing: “That beautiful old house burned last night. As did most of that community. So many good people displaced, devastated and cast out all over LA.”
He was sad over the tragedy of losing something that held so many memories for him, but he had a good view of the overall subject. He said: “Mostly right now I just want to mourn the loss of a town. And acknowledge the beauty and the memories of what it was. It is all so tragic and sad.”
We wish their family well in their new home in Nashville.
